Pandora Academy Homework: Magic Control

I floated through the halls, flapping my iridescent rose wings. I looked at my paper, and down the hall. Where on EARTH was Miss Kira's classroom? I sighed, and kept going down the hall. When I heard someone approach, I hit the ground and waved my back at my back, my wings folding down and disapearing.  I heard the click-clack of high heels and peered down the hall.

"Miss Kira!" I exclaimed, smiling ever-so-slightly.

"Lost?" she pondered, smiling gently.

"I-well... y-yes," I admitted quietly, and followed her to her classroom. When we entered, I saw a few kids sitting at desks. I saw Sakine, Elista, Thalia, and some other kids I didn't know.

"Rathina, you can sit there," Miss Kira said, pointing to an empty seat.

"O-Okay," I said quietly, taking my seat. I unfurled my wings and heard a few kids gasp. I waved my hand at them, then glanced over my shoulder to see ducktape over their mouth. I saw Miss Kira shoot me a look and I snapped my fingers, finding kids rubbing their mouths were the ducktape had been. I wasn't off to a good start in Magic Control.

"Miss Rathina, would you demonstrate your powers for us?" Miss Kira asked.

"Sure," I said, and walked to the front of the classroom.

I flapped my wings, and floated into the air. Kids gasped. I waved my hand at the ceiling and it disapeared, and I raced off into the sky. The cold wind feel good on my face, blowing my chesnut brown hair off my face. I swooped and dived and looped. I returned to the ground, snapping my fingers as the ceiling reappeared.

"Thank you, Miss Rathina," Miss Kira laughed.

"Y-Your w-welcome," I replied uneasily as I took my seat.

What would kids think of me as know?
